Literature Text

People die every day.
You don't care.
Why would you?
Your life's not in danger.
I'm in a war now.
You cause my anger.
You get in my way
I'll kill you like the countless
Others before you
*Come away little lamb…Come away to the water
We're calling to you*
My army is awaiting my command.
Oh they do know the task at hand.
We come to take your land.
The land you will no longer rule.
Yes you were so cruel.
*Come away little lamb…Come away to the slaughter.
Give yourself so we can live a new.
We're coming for you.*
Your down fall will open a light
I'm sure it will be so bright.
This smile on my face.
Will look down on your barrel case.
*Come away little lamb*
i was listining to Come away to the water [link] when I thought of it.
It's about a king who is unfair and a girl who raised and army to overthrow him. The poem doesn't really have the same meaning as the song

It took me a minute to find the right words to descirbe this peice, but that's a good thing. If I were writing this, I would try to find words that aren't used in the everyday vocabulary of people. Though I know that when wrting a poem it's hard to rhyme and also use an extensive use of vocabulary at the same time. Adding in the song lyrics was a very good thing to do - it adds more feeling to the peice. When you read the lyrics there is no wondering what the people in it are feeling. Reading this made me want to listen to the song because you can tell there is more to it than just being said. I believe that when you write you should always make the readers guess a little bit and that's exactly what you did. All in all, I'm very glad I read this.
